This is our last revision of the CCV delete kit ! We and the MAP sensor possibility directly on the intake manifold ! PLUS, the IAT is integrated in this model !
When you start to use a BMW M60 or M62 engine at the race track, you probably remarking blue smoke some time and oil consumption. That is caused by the CCV / PCV system of this engine. When staying at high revolution a long period of time, these engine PCV valves and oil separator are not enough to keep the oil vapour in the crank base. But you can’t delete the PCV without any other modification, because the MAF sensor will need to calculate all the air that going in and out of the engine.
To installing this kit, remove the CCV valve and install the new delete plate instead. After that, you will need to route the engine vacuum hose. Originally only the brake booster is connected to this section of the intake. We offer you extra ports, so you will obtain 4 port for engine vacuum to disposition. 1 will be used for the brake booster ( if you still run one ), the 3 other port can be used as your wish, for gauges or boost controller.
Once the plate is installed, The oil separator will need to be re-rooted, it can be unconnected ( to the atmosphere ) , but the best solution is to connect it to the intake boot ( between the MAF and the throttle body ). Or you can remove the oil separator to use a oil catch can instead, after that you can vent to the atmosphere, but again, the not calculated air will cause problems on the MAF lecture. You better connecting the vent hose to the intake boot to let the MAF calculate the air and let the engine burn the residual oil vapour from the catch can.
